Storyverse Systems is operated by P9NW, a sole proprietorship owned by James D. Davis, doing business as Storyverse Systems. Throughout this document, Storyverse Systems, we, us, and our refer to P9NW doing business as Storyverse Systems. You and your refer to anyone accessing or using the Services.

By accessing or using the Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
We have two age floors depending on what you are doing:
By creating an account or making a purchase, you represent that you meet the applicable age requirement. If we learn that we have collected information from a child under 13, we will delete it promptly.
To use certain features, you will need to create an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information, and to keep that information updated. You are responsible for safeguarding your password and for all activity that occurs under your account.
Notify us immediately at jdavis@storyversesystems.com if you suspect any unauthorized use of your account. We are not liable for losses caused by unauthorized use you fail to report.
Accounts are for individuals. You may not share login credentials, transfer your account, or allow anyone else to use your account.
Our paid memberships are billed on a recurring monthly basis through Stripe, our payment processor. By purchasing a membership, you authorize us to charge your payment method each billing cycle until you cancel.
Our free tier requires no payment method and has no automatic charges. We may change what is included in the free tier at any time.
We may change membership prices at any time. We will give you at least 30 days notice by email before any price change affects your account. If you do not want to pay the new price, you can cancel before it takes effect.
You can cancel your membership at any time from your member dashboard. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing cycle. You will not be charged again after cancellation.
Refund terms are governed by our separate Refund Policy.
When you purchase a Framework Package (such as Maple Creek, The Prometheus Protocol, or The Shattered Throne), or a Starter Kit, we grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, worldwide license to use the Package materials to create your own original fictional works, for both personal and commercial publication.
You own the original fiction you create using the Packages. We own the Package materials themselves. This split is fundamental to how the products work.
The App allows you to upload images, text, and other content (User Content). This section covers what that means legally.
You own all User Content you upload. We do not claim any ownership of the characters, stories, worlds, or media you create.
You grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to host, store, display, and process your User Content solely to operate the Services. This license ends when you delete the content or your account, except where retention is required for backups, legal compliance, or resolving disputes.
You represent that you have all necessary rights to the User Content you upload, and that it does not infringe anyone else's rights or violate any law.
We use automated content moderation (AWS Rekognition) on uploaded images to detect and block content that violates our Acceptable Use Policy. We may also manually review content if it is reported to us.
If you believe content on the Services infringes your copyright, see the DMCA section of our Acceptable Use Policy for takedown procedures.
Your use of the Services is governed by our separate Acceptable Use Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Violations may result in content removal, account suspension, or account termination.
The Services, including all software, design, text, graphics, and underlying technology, are owned by Storyverse Systems and protected by U.S. and international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. Except for the limited license granted in Section 6, these Terms do not grant you any rights in our intellectual property.
Storyverse Systems, Storyverse Forge, Nova Drift, The Arena, Maple Creek Romance Package, The Prometheus Protocol, The Shattered Throne, The Story Architect, and related logos and marks are trademarks or trade names of P9NW.
The Services integrate with third-party providers to function, including:
Your use of these third-party services may be subject to their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices of third parties.
We work to keep the Services available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Services at any time, with or without notice. We may also release features in beta or alpha status, which may be incomplete or unstable.
If we discontinue a paid service entirely, we will provide reasonable notice and prorate any refunds per our Refund Policy.
You may stop using the Services at any time by canceling your membership and/or requesting account deletion.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Services, with or without notice, if:
Upon termination, your right to use the Services ends immediately. Framework Packages you have already purchased remain yours to use under the license in Section 6.
THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED AS IS AND AS AVAILABLE WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
We do not guarantee that the Services will meet your requirements, be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that any defects will be corrected. We make no guarantees about the commercial success of any fiction you create using our Packages or App.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, P9NW AND STORYVERSE SYSTEMS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE SERVICES.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of these Terms or the Services shall not exceed the greater of: the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim, or one hundred U.S. dollars.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless P9NW, Storyverse Systems, and James D. Davis from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys fees) arising from:
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, United States, without regard to its conflict of laws rules.
Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Services shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Luzerne County, Pennsylvania. You consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.
You agree to attempt to resolve any dispute with us informally by contacting jdavis@storyversesystems.com before initiating legal action. We will make a good-faith effort to resolve disputes that way.
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the Last updated date at the top. Material changes will be communicated by email to account holders and by a notice on the site at least 14 days before taking effect.
Your continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree, stop using the Services and cancel any paid memberships before the effective date.
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, Refund Policy, and Acceptable Use Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Services.
If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms is not a waiver of that right.
You may not assign these Terms without our written consent. We may assign our rights and obligations without restriction.
